Drafts. Most are short. Most say "more coming soon." That is on purpose. The point is to put the title down and the spine of the idea, then fill in over time.
Intelligence From Simple Systems: Seven Months Inside Cell Signalling
DRAFT · biology · seven months of reading, written up in one go
I am not a biologist, but I cannot stop reading cells as machines. What one fading gradient and two thresholds have to do with a spinal cord, why a receptor is an interlock and a gene that switches itself on is a latch, why a cell destroys the signal it is trying to read, and why your hand is a machined part. The whole thing is also here as a flowchart, eight phases, built into the page rather than dropped in as a PDF.
A flux of consciousness with the physics checked against every step: is time a rotation or a slide, can two people ever share a now, what really happens at the speed of light, what is gravity in this picture, and do we ever see the true shape of anything.
Is a plant a thing, or a snapshot of one thing? A draft on the double slit and the electron a kilometer away, why "rare" might just mean "invisible to our sensors," and whether you could reverse engineer the 4D shape of a living thing from its slices in time.
Do You Have the Keys to Rotate a 3D Cross Section?
EXISTENTIAL · Sunday, June 1, 2026
A long, deep one for me personally. On space, time, and dimensions, and whether time is just the single direction in which we are allowed to slide our 3D slice of a 4D world.
How to Make Proper Harmonic Gears With a Decent 3D Printer
more coming soon
I will give out some secret sauce here. Why? Because I have no time for putting it to good use. It has been 4 years since I started making HG and I still have not seen a decent harmonic gear done by anyone who is not a manufacturer. So I hope someone will put my learnings to good use. :)

Why the Way We Design Hardware Does Not Make Sense, and How I Am Changing It With HANOMI

A reminder for CAD engineers that they should become inventors again. For now, read the manifesto.
Why Aging Is a Disease That Needs to Be Cured

I have been thinking about this since I was 13 years old. Then I read a book by David Sinclair and it really clicked with me.

Why Nanobots Are the First Step Towards Human and Bio Interface, and Why We Need It

Taking inspiration from One Piece, the healing powers of Doflamingo are just one tiny fraction of what could be possible. I want to build on this with fluids.

Why the Things to Build Things Are Larger Than the Things Themselves

Why manufacturing today does not make sense from first principles, and why the future should be seed to product. Growing cell to product.
We Should Be Able to Fly. If I Have Time I Will Make It Happen.
more coming soon
Since I was a kid I used to go on hikes. I would see a mountain or a hill far away and I want to go to the top, just because I want to.
To get there it does not make sense. We should be able to fly if we want to, and we can show it.
I want to do it with flapping wings. However, due to their aeroelasticity they are a quite nasty problem to model accurately. We can understand roughly the requirements to make that happen.

My 1st love. IKEA shopping plus Arduino and steppers plus 12 year old passion.
Again, will put stuff soon, stay tuned. ;)
Working on the NASA Insight Mission
more coming soon
My MSc dissertation grew out of work connected to the NASA InSight mission. I used to have the whole thing here, then thought better of dropping a full academic PDF onto a personal site. A short, plain language write up of what it was about and what I found is coming instead.
